This project involved a comprehensive roof replacement for a residence exhibiting critical structural and functional deficiencies. Our inspection revealed several significant issues, including soft and rotted decking- a clear sign of water intrusion- and the complete absence of drip edge flashing, which allowed moisture to wick behind the fascia. Furthermore, the home suffered from inadequate attic ventilation, leading to heat and moisture buildup that accelerated shingle aging. Finally, the existing shingles showed advanced wear, and multiple penetrations (like vents and pipe boots) were failed or temporarily patched.

To provide a lasting solution, we performed a full tear-off down to the decking. We partnered with DD Repair Co. to expertly replace the damaged OSB boards before installing the rest of the roof materials. The full replacement included the installation of proper drip edge flashing, ice and water shield in vulnerable areas, and a new, balanced attic ventilation system to protect the home for decades to come. We finished the system by installing Class 4 (wind and hail), 40 year, Malarkey Vistas shingles, ensuring superior protection and durability for the homeowner.
