The Story the Attic Tells

One of the most revealing parts of a thorough inspection happens below the roof surface. When people think of a roofing system, they often consider the roof you can see, but not the attic space.

Attic conditions tell us things the exterior can't. Dark staining on the decking indicates historic moisture intrusion. Compressed or damp insulation suggests an ongoing issue. Mold growth, which we've documented in multiple Treasure Valley attic inspections, tells us that ventilation has been failing long enough for conditions to become hospitable to biological growth.

A roof that's been quietly failing for years will often look fine on the outside while the attic tells the real story.
